Drumallan Group is run by Henry Middleton, who is responsible for the personal information described here (the “data controller”). You can contact him at henry@drumallan.co.uk or on 0330 122 7022.

What we collect

  • What you give us when you email or call: your name, contact details, and anything you tell us about yourself or your business.
  • Call recordings and notes, if we record a call. We will always tell you at the start if a call is being recorded.
  • Business contact information from data providers, such as a director’s name and the business’s address, taken from public sources like Companies House. We use this to write to owners of established businesses.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to discuss whether your business might be a fit, and to keep a record of our conversations. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in finding and buying businesses and in responding to people who contact us. We have weighed those interests against your rights, and we keep what we hold to the minimum we need.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run our email, phone and contact records, such as Google, CircleLoop and HubSpot. They handle information on our behalf, and some may store it outside the UK with the safeguards UK law requires. If talks about a business progress, we may share relevant information with our professional advisers, in confidence.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it for the purposes above. If there is no further contact, we delete it within two years of our last contact. If you ask us not to contact you again, we keep only the minimum needed to respect that request.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You can tell us at any time to stop writing to you, and we will. Email henry@drumallan.co.uk to do any of these.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
